Kuwait in SoHo NY !!

Last winter, when I was exploring SoHo (NYC), I took this picture

what shocked me that what I saw (framed in red) was a logo that took the same design of Kuwait's Official Emblem, compare ....

Kuwait Coat of Arms (logo) was adopted back in 1962. The Dhow (boat) symbolizes the old traditions of the sea. The falcon symbolizes Banu Quraish.

OBEY on the other hand (the other logo) is something else! Frank Shepard Fairey is the guy behind OBEY! Fairey was born in 1970... which is EIGHT years AFTER the Kuwait Coat of Arms was adopted!
